The Art of Vulnerability

Using erotically explorative and somatically grounded practices, our wants and limits pave the way to leading life with a more whole self. This 3-day all-inclusive immersive workshop creates a container for exploring consent, boundaries, and erotic expression through somatic practices.

About the Workshop

For more information about the workshop, please see the FAQ page.

  • Confidentiality
Do not share the names or personal experiences of others unless granted explicit permission. Speak to your own experience and learning.
  • Listen with Respect and Maturity
Allow others to share and feel with patience by refraining from interrupting, and approach conversations with an open-mind.
  • Embrace a Body Positive Atmosphere
Maintain an environment of celebrating other's bodies by refraining from opinions, comments and reflections about others.
  • Communicate Sexual Health Maturely
Share relevant information about testing, STI status, and boundaries. We support a culture of care where these conversations are normalized, mature, and met without shame.
  • Group Care
Use the names and pronouns people request, and honor the lived experience of those in the group. Don't make assumptions about people's identities and experiences (eg. regarding gender, race, sexual orientation, etc).
  • Interrupt for Justice
If something is said or done that conflicts with these agreements or harms you, please address it as it happens if you can. When harm happens in public, we will try to address it in public.
  • Beginner's Mind
If you have some experience with this workshop or the material, then this is your opportunity to take it deeper. There is always more to learn! Everything we offer is an experiment and an opportunity to notice.
  • Flexible Participation
Participation can look many ways — join an exercise, witness, journal, take a break, say no to a practice, and change your mind at any time!
  • Space Awareness
Practice self-awareness around how you take up space — if it's easy for you to step in and share, pause and wait a moment; if you find it challenging to take up space, practice stepping in and sharing.
  • Self-Care
Self-care and nervous system regulation — take care of your needs for water, toilet, etc; if there is something specific you need, can you find a way to ask for it?
  • Learning Zone
Notice what you need to stay in your learning zone — take a break, move your body, express something to the group, etc. There is no need for overwhelm!
  • Personal Experience
When sharing, speak from your personal experience - Use 'I' statements (eg. I feel, I notice, I'm experiencing, etc.). This helps you to notice and take responsibility for your own experience. Please avoid speaking on behalf of others.
  • Honoring Feelings
Feelings are welcome and do not need to be justified or explained; honor the feelings that arise in others by allowing them to feel without fixing or advising.
  • For Those Ready to Explore
Open to exploring vulnerability and using touch as a tool for growth
  • Those with Some Familiarity with the Material
We require that you've attended a Community Gathering, taken the Wheel of Consent Course, or had a private session with one of the facilitators (remote ok).
  • Individuals, Pairs, and Constellations
We welcome solo participants, partners, and groups of any relationship style. You're encouraged to engage with others beyond those you arrived with, at your own pace and comfort.
